He was used to women throwing themselves at him but he was a man of grace - he never crossed a line with them
Until one time, he went overboard and committed a sin , after that he vowed to himself that he would never let himself do anything unless it's with his wife
He had dark brown hair, hazel-colored hunter eyes, a perfect straight nose, high cheekbones, and a strong and sharp jawline that stood out.
He was built like a sculpture of a Greek man.
It was no wonder that girls simp over him, I mean his beauty was just ethereal.
Men are handsome but he was - beautiful.
Even with sharp features they held a sense of softness inherited from his mother.
Their family had a business in abroad too, owned several foreign franchises, but the root was in Pakistan, run by his grandfather.
But now they were in a flight, flying back to Pakistan to attend the funeral of their grandfather.
Only one more hour and they will reach the place they left with desperation.
Their Uncle was kicked out of the family for disrespecting his own brother, the fight and consequences just drifted the two brothers further apart.
Resulting in them leaving the country and settling in a foreign country, away from their home, from the memories, their loved ones
And now going back to the same place felt like a disaster.
Minute after minute passed, after an hour the private jet started to lower itself, going down towards the highway, it's tires soon touched the highway, it was slowly moving forward before coming to a halt
The door opened leading to the stairs, the whole family stood up from their seats and started to walk out of the door, silently walking down the stairs.
The assigned staff, came up to take their luggages out and carry them to their cars.
In the parking lot there were two black cars parked, from the BMW M series
"Why two?" Rayan questioned
"I want to meet my family that's why" their mom - Zarnaab answered as she stepped into the back seat of one of the cars.
All three males just nodded
Their parent's families didn't get along well, they were always arguing over the dumbest things, they had never respected Zarnaab and Zayan didn't like it, he had always tried to make her understand that those people didn't want her best but she just didn't listened.
The two brothers didn't got to enjoy their childhood with their paternal cousins nor with their maternal cousins
Their family was a mess - a mess created so perfectly to clean and dig in.
The two sons waved goodbye to their mother,a soft smile playing on their lips as the two cars went their separate ways.
Their grandfather's last wish was to be buried next to his wife and in the graveyard of his native city (Lahore) , and his funeral should be ordinary.
Zayan kept that in mind as he arranged the funeral, everyone he knew was invited, and the menu was biryani cuz everyone likes it.
The car slowed down to halt, indicating that they had reached their destination.
As they stepped out of the car, their chests felt tight with nostalgia as their eyes were greeted with the sight of their old house โ a tall building that still looked lively, painted in neutral colors, a garden surrounding it, metal gates with two guards, it felt familiar yet unfamiliar at the same time.
The guards immediately opened the gates when they saw them approaching, their heads bowed down in respect.
But to their surprise the sons stopped and shook hands with them, it was the first time someone treated them like this instead of just giving orders.
A genuinely happy smile was plastered across the guard's faces, Rayyan couldn't help but giggle like a kid seeing the usually tough guards smiling like idiots.
But hearing his father clearing his throat pulled him out of his giggling frenzy, and he was soon reminded of the situationโHis grandfather just died and he was here laughing.
He shook his head before resuming to walk behind his father and big brother as they made their way inside the mansion.
The wooden doors opened, exposing the luxurious interior.
Another wave of sadness and nostalgia hit them.
"You two better not be late" Zayan warned in a firm tone
Ahsan and Rayyan just nodded their head, feeling a little too sad to argue right now.
They walked up the spiral staircase that led to their rooms, every door looked the same except one, it was at the end of the hallway and it locked.
But again, they were too tired and sad to perform some reckless action.
They sighed and walked inside their own rooms, and soon came out freshened up and wearing white shalwar kameez (traditional dress of Pakistan)
They walked down the staircase again but this time it was silentโnot filled with stupid gibberish being mumbled anymore.
As they made their way out of the house, Rayyan suddenly decided to break the silence.
"Bhai, agr apki shadi Waaniya se hogai to?"
(Bro,what If you get married to Waaniya?)
For a second, Ahsan froze in his place, he wasn't really expecting that right now, he wasn't even expecting a conservation right now, his mind took seconds to register his little brother's stupid words
"Hein?"
(Huh?)
Rayyan burst out laughing seeing his brother's shocked expression and confused reply
"Mera mtlb, agr Abu uske chachu ke kehne per apki shadi usey krwade?"
(I meant, what if dad arrange a marriage of you and her on the request of her uncle?)
"Pagal waghal hogaye ho Kya?"
(Have you gone crazy?)
The question only made Rayyan laugh harder
"Nahi nahi, bs aise hi"
(No no, it's just)
"Itni yaad arhi hai uski to tu Kyu nhi krleta shadi usey phir?"
(If you are remembering her so much why don't you marry her?)
Rayyan was about to laugh even harder but suddenly got his head smacked hard, and straightened up, looking a bit sheepish now, he cleared his throat as they resumed walking towards the car parked in the parking lot.
The car ride was silent after that but inner Rayyan was laughing his ass off, to him his brother's reaction was just priceless.
He had to clear his throat awkwardly several times to make sure he don't end up laughing his ass off again and get kicked out of Running car and die without getting married.
The car stopped after a ride of almost an hour Infront of the destination, they stepped out of the car, greeting the guests as their father wasn't present there.
After greeting, they sat down on one of the tables on the male side of the revenue.
The servants will start serving the food in fifteen minutes.
They were busy talking to guests, when their father arrived, and again greeted the guests, handling the situation as everyone was questioning why his brother wasn't present at the funeral of their father
The guests soon calmed down and stopped questioning the absence of the younger heir, Instead settled down as the food started getting served.
Ahsan's phone suddenly buzzed up with a notification, he unlocked his phone to read the msg it was from his mother saying:
Can you please get the biryani for me?
Sure,mama
He replied back, as he got up from his chair, put the phone back in his pocket and made his way to the area where the servants were pouring the dish in plates.
He was standing there with his arms crossed as the servants kept doing their work, waiting patiently but then he felt a gentle pat on his arm, he turned around to see a girl standing behind him
She was wearing a knee length black dress with a straight trouser underneath it, a black Georgette dupatta draped over her chest, she was almost a foot shorter than him and had a really cute baby face, with a mesmerizing pair of green eyes that resembled a gush forest.
He could feel himself getting lost in her eyes, they were too pretty and deep to not get hypnotized by them, he was looking down at her and she was straining her neck to look up at him with an innocent gaze that could have any man crumbling under it.
Her brown hair was put up in a messy bun, her cheeks were looking soft and round just like a baby's, he suddenly had intrusive thoughts to pinch them but he held himself back and cleared his throat.
"Yes?"
"Biryani daal den" she answered, well not answered but commanded in her soft voice.
Her words made his jaw drop a little, he was now staring down at her with a shocked expression
"Mai apko biryani daalne wala dikhta Hoon?"
(Do I look like a biryani maker to you?)
"Lag to rahen hai wse"
(Well you look like one)
"Baji andhi ho Kya?"
(Are you blind?)
"Andhe hogen ap, chup krke biryani daal kar den mujhe"
The servants that were witnessing the scene couldn't help but laugh to themselves.
"Bhena..." He sighed softly "mere hi dada ki death hui hai mai to khud yahan biryani ke Liya khara Hoon"
(Sister...)
(My grandfather died and i am standing here to get biryani too)
"To?"
(So)
His eyes widened at her stubbornness
"Meri maa,Chye Kya apko?" He asked as he mockingly facepalmed, he was now getting amused by her behavior instead of getting frustrated
(What do you need?)
"Batameez" she grabbed his hair and pulled his head down so she could slap him
"Biryani, kabse yehi to Keh rhi Hoon Mai,smjh hi nhi ati"
(I have been repeating this for a while now)
He gasped in surprise as she slapped him, that slap was more like a gentle pat but he decided to act like he was seriously hurt, his hand shot to his cheek, rubbing it dramatically as he sighed dramatically again , exaggerating and knitted his brows together to feign annoyance
She narrowed her eyes at him and crossed her arms across her chest, huffing in annoyance
"To Sahi hi to Keh rhi thi Mai"
"Gg" he replied, his tone dripping with sarcasm
She huffed once again when she sensed the sarcasm in his tone.
"Kharoos admi" she mumbled under her breath but it was loud enough for him to hearโloud and clear
He chuckled, for some reason he found this behavior of her endearing.
"Aik kaam kro inko pehle dedo, bht jaldi horhi hai"
(Do one thing, serve her first, she is getting impatient)
The servants nodded and handed two plates to her, a smile appeared on her lips, a pure happy smile.
"Thank you" she grabbed the two plates and walked towards the table where her mother sat.
He shook his head, and turned back to the servants, picking up the filled plates and walked towards the table where he had spotted his mother, he placed it down on the table and was just about to leave but then the ladies sitting on the same table started bombering him with greetings and free proposal of their daughters.
His mother giggled as she saw her son's dumbfounded look "hum sochenge is baare Mai" she quickly spoke after sensing his discomfort from the sudden proposals getting thrown at him, the ladies stopped blubbering and nodded their heads.
(We will think about this)
He sighed in relief, when the questioning stopped and turned around to leave.
